Skin Lesions
The Skin, muscles, fat, connective tissues, glands and tear ducts can become abnormal in function or appearance due to aging, trauma/injury/infection, scarring, skin disease & eye disease. Medical or surgical treatment can improve the function or appearance in these cases.
COMMON SKIN LESIONS:
Keratosis
Are aging or sun damaged skin growths that can be removed with freezing, laser, cautery or surgery.
Skin Tags
Are irregular growths of surface skin that can be irritating especially where jewelry or clothing is snagged. These can be removed by freezing, cautery or surgery.
Warts
Are caused by the wart virus and are usually treated with freezing.
Sun Spots
If flat and dark can be treated with laser or freezing.
Hemangiomas
Are benign growths of blood vessels that look like pink or red spots - these can be treated with the laser.
